Dr. Brown Spotlight - Idaho Orthodontics

Meet Dr. Taylor Brown of Idaho Orthodontics—an outdoors-loving orthodontist passionate about creating confident smiles with personalized, pressure-free care.

Dr. Taylor Brown:
I'm Taylor Brown, and I’m an orthodontist at Idaho Orthodontics.

I’m originally from Utah—but I learned the error of my ways and relocated to Idaho! My wife is from here, and honestly, she’s the only reason I got accepted across the border. We have three kids—a six-year-old boy, a four-year-old boy, and a one-year-old girl—and they keep us very busy. We absolutely love it here. We’re outdoors as much as possible—skiing in the winter, biking, hiking, and fishing in the summer. All the best things Idaho has to offer.

I’ve known I wanted to be an orthodontist for as long as I can remember. I distinctly recall going on family camping trips and bringing dental floss with me—my brothers made fun of me for flossing while camping! But I guess that was the first sign I was destined to work with teeth.

One of my favorite parts of the job is working with patients who are nervous or shy at first. Some people come in and don’t open up right away—but helping them gain confidence, transform their smile, and build a relationship with them is incredibly rewarding.

It’s a lot like watching my own kids grow up—you get to see the same kind of development in our patients, both physically with their smile and emotionally in how they carry themselves.

One of my most memorable experiences was with a patient who wouldn’t speak or smile at all. She had prominent canine teeth that really bothered her. After her treatment, her mom texted me to say she’d just won "Best Smile" in her class. That moment meant a lot to me—it’s what makes this job amazing.

If there’s any change—big or small—you’d like to make with your smile, we’d love to help. What sets Idaho Orthodontics apart is that we customize treatment to your exact needs. Sometimes, it’s as simple as a retainer. Other times, we’ll discuss more options—but we always present the choices and let you decide.

There’s no pressure, no obligation, and no charge for a consultation. It’s an easy, risk-free way to see if something small could turn into something life-changing.
