Julie:
Hi, I’m Julie from Blackfoot, Idaho.

Jamie:
And I’m Jamie, also from Blackfoot, Idaho—and we’re twins, obviously.

Julie:
I think it’s fun to have a twin because I can look at her and think, “That’s exactly what I look like,” you know, to a certain degree. It’s kind of fun.

Jamie:
We just did normal sibling stuff growing up. One time she broke a brush over my head… just normal sibling stuff. I think that’s normal, isn’t it? We just have differences of opinion on things.

Julie:
I was the first one who heard—by word of mouth—about Idaho Orthodontics, and they just had awesome reviews.

Even though we’re twins and we’ve done a lot of things the same growing up, it’s been interesting to decide to go different ways with braces. I didn’t know if I wanted to get old-fashioned metal braces—there’s nothing wrong with them—but I wanted to try the latest and greatest: Invisalign®.

Jamie:
I decided to get braces. I had always wanted them as a kid, but we couldn’t afford it. As I got older, my teeth started to shift. I got my kids through braces and finally thought, “I’m going to do something for myself.”

The staff is wonderful. Dr. Brown and Dr. McMinn are both awesome. They make me laugh every time I come in. It’s not like going to a regular old doctor appointment where you’re dreading it.

It’s helped build confidence, even with the braces still on. People say, “Man, your teeth are pretty,” and “You look really pretty,” and “Your teeth are gorgeous.” So if you need braces, this is the place to come.

Julie:
Lastly, I have to add something for those of you who may not be able to pay for braces all at once. They have an awesome payment program—0% interest. They’re super willing to work with anybody who needs braces. They’re very kind that way, and I think that’s pretty awesome.

Video Frequently Asked Questions

Julie and Jadie's Testimonial

Do you treat adults who want braces or Invisalign later in life?
Yes. At Idaho Orthodontics, we see many adult patients who either never had braces as kids or who have noticed their teeth shifting over time. Whether you’re interested in traditional braces or Invisalign clear aligners, we can help you choose an option that fits your lifestyle and goals.
Can I choose between braces and Invisalign at Idaho Orthodontics?
In many cases, yes. Some patients, like Julie, choose Invisalign because they want a more discreet, “latest and greatest” option. Others, like Jamie, prefer braces for their situation. At your consultation, we’ll review your smile, explain which options will work best for you, and help you decide between metal braces, clear braces, or Invisalign.
What is the atmosphere like at Idaho Orthodontics?
Patients often describe our office as friendly, fun, and not like a typical doctor’s visit. Our team—and Dr. Brown and Dr. McMinn in particular—love to laugh with patients and make appointments something you can actually look forward to. Building confidence and comfort is a big part of the experience here.
Do you offer payment plans or financing for braces and Invisalign?
Yes. Idaho Orthodontics offers an affordable payment program, including 0% interest payment options, to help make braces or Invisalign more accessible for families and adults. We’re very willing to work with your budget so that cost doesn’t stand in the way of getting the smile you want.
